Room Scents with Essential Oils

Hello!  You may be thinking, "Essential Oil Room Sprays?  I thought this was a home decor and reclaimed furniture blog?"  Well... yummy smelling room sprays may not be decor but they will make your home smell beautiful so it kind of fits.  Plus I love using essential oils anyway I can and eliminating yucky chemicals from my home whenever I can.  Using Raspberry Hill Room Sprays made with all natural ingredients is a great way to do that!

I start by gathering all my materials, bottles, and recipes (aka wrecking the bathroom).  I use all natural ingredients in glass or essential oil safe plastic bottles.  I buy most of mine here.  They have a great selection of containers, tools, literature and other items pertaining to essential oil use.  I use doTERRA essential oils in all my mixes that can be purchased here.

Then I start mixing!  There are so many wonderful combinations that can be created using essential oils.  My favorite are the fall scents like Spiced Cider (Wild Orange, Ginger and Cinnamon) and the uplifting scents like doTERRA's Elevation Blend.  What is your favorite scent or blend?

I offer this yummy smelling room spray for $7.50.  Contact me today if you would like a bottle!  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Ball, Kerr, Golden Harvest and more. Mason jars galore!

I love mason jars.  I use them for canning, organizing, storage and pretty much anything else I can think of!  I have my ink pens in one on my desk.  I store cotton balls, q-tips and bandaids in them in our bathrooms.  I store bath bombs and toilet fizzies in jars to keep them fresh... the list goes on.  They are great to have on hand and relatively inexpensive so I have lots.

I have started using mason jars for home decor too!  I have painted some, mounted some, and built boxes to hold others.  Here are some of my projects.  Let me know what you think!

I started my mason jar journey by painting some jars with awesome Chalky & CO painters powder mixed with my favorite paint colors that were laying around the garage and craft room.  I then added flowers, jute rope, wooden stars/hearts and other embellishments.

Next I decided to turn these cute painted jars into centerpieces by placing them in oblong crate-like boxes that I built and stained.   I added succulents to one set for added cuteness.

Then I decided to take my jars to the next level as wall decor.  I mounted jars to different types/colors of wood with hose clamps and added sawtooth picture hangers to the back so they can be hung on the wall.  You can add silk flowers, fresh cut flowers or grow flowers/herbs in these jars.  Add a great smelling candle to a jar for a wall sconce.   Hang a jar in the laundry room and use it to house spare change and pocket contents.  So many uses!

After I mounted single mason jars I decided I needed more.  I think this set would be great in the bathroom.  Jar 1: cotton balls, jar 2: q-tips, jar 3: makeup brushes, and jar 4: hair ties.  What would you put in your mounted jars?

If you are interested in any of these items or have a project/idea that you need built let me know.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
